Two Years Ago Today...

...our lives were forever changed...On this date, we found out that we were pregnant and immediately shared the news with many of our family and friends. What an amazing day!!!

So excited and so freaked out at the same time...

I love this picture...the emotion that it shows...the happiness, excitement and surprise...it captured the day perfectly... But, when I look at my precious little man today, I can't believe that he was once just a thought in our minds. A little dream that we couldn't wait to hold. It was a perfect moment and he's perfect now! What an amazing difference two years makes!

Surfin' Past One with Tanner

On Saturday night, we got to celebrate Tanner's first birthday! Now he and Q are big one year olds together! Kara did such an amazing job with the party...the decor, food, and fun activites for the kiddos were just too much!

Jumping in the bounce house with the birthday boy...

Pimp My Ride!

Quinn got this car for his birthday and we finally decided that it was time to put it together. So, after a Daddy/Son trip to PacSun to get the coolest stickers (they actually gave them 32 when Matt told them what he was doing with them!), Matt, Q and I sat in the living room floor to get to work. Quinn was so excited...in the middle of everything and so ready to play in his car.

As soon as it was together and completely "pimped," he really was having more fun with the basket of toys that he always plays with!! See his car just anxiously awaiting to be ridden!?Toot!....
But, it didn't take long. After 30 minutes or so, he was ready to ride...and so happy! It's so cute to watch him open and close the door and sit inside. He also loves to take different things with him to put in the trunk. ...We look forward to adding more cool stuff to it along the way!

4 Extra Hands

Oh, what would I do if I had four extra little hands around the house!? The other night, when we had the Rogers' fam over for dinner, I found out! Hailey and Rylie have a new baby brother and they are such huge helpers...and, they were so sweet to help Q do everything...Q got a little glimpse of what it would be like to have 2 bit sisters, and he loved every minute of it!

Cooooool!

My little man loves to say "cool." He says it all of the time...espcially when he's playing with something that he thinks is cool! (usually things he shouldn't have...my phone, my credit cards, etc.) The time he says it the most is when he sees someone's sunglasses or if you put sunglasses on him! We've always told him how cool he looks in them and he took note. But, my favorite time he says it is when he sees me in my glasses. When I'm in my jammies, no makeup, and my glasses, he'll look at me and say "coooool!" Oh, I love you little boy! You'll make your wife very happy one day if you keep this up! :)

Too Many Kids in this Pool!

Remember this poem by Shel Silverstein...
Too Many Kids in this Tub
There's too many kids in this tub
There's too many elbows to scrub
I just washed a behind that I'm sure wasn't mine
There's too many kids in this tub.

That's what playgroup reminded me of this week! Dena hosted with a yummy lunch and all of the boys got in their swim suits and swim diapers and headed out back to the froggy pool! Even though it was a great idea, the boys weren't too fond of it...just too many kids in the pool! But, it made for some fun pics!

Cuddling in towels is always the best part...

"Small Town" Fun

Even though Abilene isn't really a small town at all (115,000 people), it feels like it...and that's why we love it. This past weekend, Matt, Q, the puppies and I headed to Abilene for some Two-Five stuff but had some fun with Grammer and Slickpaw too. ... Here's some of the reasons we love "small town" Abilene....
***
Downtown had lots of fun little things going on on Saturday...just because...so we went...
Q got to pet a snake at the public library...
...and listen and dance to a little gospel singing group...
...we got to hang out by the waterfall wall downtown...
...Abilene is so "small" that they named a buidling after me...Not really, but isn't this cool!?!?!...how did we all live in Abilene for so long and never see this!?!?...

Look in the circles at the top of the building...I'm famous...

...we hung out in the backyard...what else is there to do in "small town" Abilene...

...we found the names of ALL of the HSU graduates (since 1891) on a new structure on campus...See, Matt is famous too....but not famous enough to have his name on a BUIDLING...ha...

...we entertained ourselves by eating holes in tortillas and peeking through...

...and found photo ops anywhere and everywhere...even a regular 'ol staricase...

...we looked for "berts"... ...and, lastly, we took "siestas!" All of that "small town" fun will wear anyone out! >>>
Thanks Grammer and Slickpaw (or BaaBaa and WhoWho!?...more on that later!) for being the hostesses with the mostessess! We had fun!

Blueberries for Quinn

As Quinn devoured his blueberries last night, I couldn't help but think about this book...
He loved them and was a crazy mess! I had to use the Magic Eraser to clean his highchair and he had to have a good scrub in the bath to clean his stained face and fingers! Yum! Yum!
P.S. Shouldn't they be called "purpleberries!?" They're more purple that blue to me!
