ThePoeFam's First GIVEAWAY!!!

As I sort through all of these pictures and get ready to reveal way too many posts, I thought that our little PoeFam blog needed to have its first giveaway!!!! At Q's alphabet themed party, the favor was a really fun CD full of lots of catchy (and not that annoying!) alphabet tunes! And, I have a few left!!!! Never Ending Posts Coming Soon!!!

We have had an absolute BLAST the past week!!! With birthday celebration after birthday celebration...and too much fun turning TWO... I have more pictures than I can count!!! As soon as I get my house picked up from the birthday madness, I plan on sifting through the pics and giving you all of the birthday posts your hearts can desire! :) So...stay tuned!!!!

It's Not Over YET!!!

After so much celebrating, you'd think my little man would have been exhausted, but NO NO! A 2 hour nap got him ready for the next round! ... When he woke, we went to eat at our favorite little Mexican restaurant by our house and Q enjoyed LOTS of hot sauce, fajita chicken, beans, rice and coloring!

Then, we came home to open MORE presents and blow out the candles on the cake that Mammer made him! I was so impressed that he actually blew out his candles!!! (Even though he had a little help from Daddy on the second one!!!)

He got so many cool things from his grandparents and from us!!! He loved his popping lawn mower from Nana and Pawpaw and his cool backpack "like Daddy's" that we got him! We laughed hysterically at how disinterested his was in the cool clothes that he got! He would take it out of the bag, not even look at it and throw it aside!!! I can remember feeling the same way about getting clothes so I can't blame him! :)

So, after some cake and lots of birthday squeezes from everyone, I took Q to his room as a BIG 2 year old and rocked him for a while before I put him in his bed...He had to have his Thomas hat before I put him down...sweet little love!!! I told him to get a really good night's sleep because tomorrow we would be celebrating some more at his PARTY!!! What a perfect day for my precious little man...one that I will never, ever forget!

My 2 year old's Day Out with Thomas!

Quinn got to live out a dream for his 2nd birthday...he got to ride on the REAL Thomas! On the morning of his big day, we loaded up the car and headed to Grapevine. When we drove up, we saw all of the cool things and were so glad that we had come! ... Quinn was so excited to see the BIG Thomas bounce house, to do some fun Thomas stamp art and get his first tattoo!
Then, when the time came, we hopped in line by the rails to wait for Thomas to arrive. And, when we saw him coming our way, Quinn was so excited...clapping and waving as he got closer!
And, there he was...lots of dramatic smoke, moving Thomas eyes and the perfect "peep peep" that only Thomas makes...Q was a little apprehensive (like he always is of stuff like this) but in awe at the same time!
So, we grabbed our tickets, gave a high five to the conductor and hopped aboard Thomas! ...

The ride was so fun! There was Thomas music playing the whole time and Quinn was so thrilled to be "riding Thomas!" He said it over and over as he smiled and laughed and played with his Thomas that he brought! ...
After the ride, Q told his Daddy about the "Thomas hat" that he must have seen another kid wearing, so he HAD to have one! He was so precious and so proud as he wore his hat the rest of the day! ...
Sir Topham Hatt was a little creepy, so this is as close as we got! ...We walked around and looked at Thomas one more time before saying goodbye! What a perfect 2nd birthday!!!... Then, we headed down the road to Kincaid's Hamburgers! My parents had eaten at the original restaurant/store dozens of times and were so excited to have the famous burger again! Q provided quite the entertainment during lunch! He was so happy and couldn't stop talking about "Big Thomas!"

Let the Celebrating BEGIN!

On the night of March 26th, my little man went to bed knowing that the next day was going to be VERY special! We had been talking about "Quinn's birthday" for a LONG time and finally his phrase of "Quinn's bir-day 'morrow!" was true! ... So, when he woke up on the morning of the 27th, his Daddy and I grabbed the video camera and the Spider Man balloon, and we went in his room to sing Happy Birthday to him! When we turned on the lamp, the face that we saw was priceless! He was so confused and I'm so thankful to have caught the hilariousness on camera! It will forever make me laugh out loud!!!

But, it didn't take long for that frown to turn upside down...
And, down the hall we went to greet all of Quinn's grandparents...
Then, when he walked in the living room, he coultn't believe his eyes! Mammer & Slickpaw had gotten him the most amazing slide/fort! And, it was immediate playtime!!!...
Then, it was on to a few of these...

Look at this cool bag from Nana and Pawpaw!...and, the Thomas stuff inside was even better...
