A Shower for Nash’s Future Girlfriend

This morning, Nash got all dressed up to go to his future girlfriend’s baby shower! 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

My precious friend, Shannon…or, who I refer to as my “Mommy mentor”….is getting her sweet girl! I watched her with admiration as she raised her sweet firstborn boy just months after I was married. Then, a little under 4 months before Quinn was born, she had Cruse. We were hopeful that our boys would become best buddies and have been so thankful that our wish came true!

Now, sweet Everley Noele is going to be about 2 months younger that Nash! I feel so blessed to, once again, raise a baby with my dear friend! And, I must admit that I’m so excited to see some pink in our crazy blue mix!

Now, on to the shower…it was so fun throwing a tea party for this {already} loved baby girl and her Momma. The flowers…the food…the invites…the gifts…it was all so girly! And, even though I can’t imagine her with a baby girl, I know it’s going to be the most precious thing…and I’m praying that I continue to follow in her footsteps! I need pink in my house one day, too! :)

       Shannon, I love you more than words! Can’t wait for Everley to get here! And, LORD HAVE MERCY…I can’t wait to help you play dress up with her!

And, just because I can’t stand it, here are a few more of my baby love in this darling outfit that his brother wore on his first Easter at a week and a half old! Here’s the Big Brother in it.  He didn’t fill it out quite as well as Nash did…{Notice that the tie fit his neck AND we had to roll up the pants on him!}…but, I’d say they looked equally precious in pink! :) …

Big Brother Party

Since before Nash was born, I knew that I wanted to have a little Big Brother Party for Quinn. I wanted to wait until some of the newness wore off to celebrate how special it was that he was now Nash’s Big Brother.

So, Sunday, when Matt took Q to church, Nash and I got ready for the event. We made cupcakes, decorated the table, hung streamers and went to get balloons. We also put out the special trophy that we had ordered.

Sadly, Quinn had a rough Sunday morning…wondering why Mommy & Nash couldn’t come to church too…and really missing Daddy during his class time. So, it was the prefect day to celebrate him.

When he walked in the door, he thought it was a birthday and immediately asked where the presents were. But, when he saw the trophy and fun cupcakes (and got a little “talkin’ to” from his Daddy) he seemed to truly appreciate his special party.      The cutest thing about the trophy was that it had two stars…a big one and a little one. We told him that the BIG star was for him and the baby one was for Nash. He was so proud of that and immediately ran over to Nash to explain the significance of the stars. So sweet.    After filling out some pages of Quinn’s Big Brother Book and good naps were had by all, we went outside for some Silly String fun! Quinn’s faces were priceless and the mess we made was HUGE! We may forever have silly string remnants in our yard and on our sidewalk…oh well…it was worth it!     I am truly so thankful for the big brother that Quinn already is to Nash. And, I loved celebrating him today!!!

Who Is It?: Comparison #2

       
Here are both boys around 2 weeks old! Their skin color is SO different…and, to me, they look so much alike one second and NOTHING alike the next! It’s going to be fun to see how they change!

PoeFam…Party of 4!!!

This weekend, we did lots of stuff as thePoeFam4! I love loading all of us in the car and being out and about…just the four of us!

First of all, on Thursday night, we went to the mall and put some mileage on the double stroller for the first time! Sadly, Nash wasn’t wanting to ride…and Quinn was in and out…so most of the time we were pushing around an empty double stroller…but it was still fun! We shopped a little and ate at the food court.

Then, on Friday morning (since Q was up at 6:15), we got ready and headed out for donuts. Nash slept through the outing, but the rest of us enjoyed our ‘healthy’ breakfast! Such a fun morning!!!…
    
On Friday night, the four of us went to Pastor Randy’s 60th Birthday celebration and Nash’s first party! He slept for most of the party…but looked cute doing it.

And then on Saturday, we had a family lunch date at McDonald’s (Quinn’s choice) and them to the store to grab some necessities. After that, we came home and we all four napped at the same time.

It may not be anything fancy, but it was fun because it was the FOUR of us!
